In 2023, after five years of study, I graduated with honors from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. My thesis project was based on Gabriel Garcia Márquez's famous novel One Hundred Years of Solitude.
Working on the film set design based on this work combined artistic exploration, historical research, and the task of capturing the magic that so strongly characterizes Márquez's novels.
The main idea of the work was to convey the fluidity of time and the metamorphosis of the Buendia family home. Full of life and energy, in my work the house became one of the characters with its own complex history and strong character.
Due to the voluminousness of the text, the work was divided into three phases: the first, fourth and seventh generation.
The sketches were painted in Photoshop.
